The Sports Division wishes to inform of the commencement of the 2020 Volleyball Schools Championship.
The 2020 Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship will officially open on Friday 10th January at the Botanic Gardens from 1:30pm.
The Opening will take the form of a Ball-O-Rama among the participating schools in both the boys and girls division. Prior to the Ball-O-Rama, the participating teams will meet and hear remarks from the Sports Coordinator and an official from the Dominica Volleyball Association.
This year’s championship will welcome two (2) new schools to the competition; the Orian Academy will make its debut in this aspect of the volleyball programme having previously participated in the Under-15 Beach Volleyball and the Academic will participate for the first time. Thirteen (13) schools have reported to participate in this year’s volleyball championship. In both the boys and girls divisions, eleven (11) teams in the girl’s division and ten (10) teams in the boy’s division.
The Dominica State College won both the boys and girls division in 2019.
