CSEC Final Results to Be Released Next Week; CBSS Students Leading

An official of the Ministry of Education revealed that the final results of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate will be released next week. Dominican students who sat for the exam might expect the release of the results on Monday or Tuesday, with indications that two students from the Castle Bruce Secondary School (CBSS) are potentially taking the lead in the country.

After the results are released early next week, analysts at the Ministry of Education will then be able to determine the overall performance of students in the country.

Following pointers that Nia Belle and Adicia Burton, two students of CBSS, are leading in the CSEC in Dominica, the social media went agog with celebrations. Students who accessed the CXC Online Students Portal to check their results found that Belle captured 13 ones and Burton garnered 11 ones.

The unnamed official of the Ministry of Education said it is too early to celebrate Belle and Burton as the top CSEC top performers in Dominica. He said it is best to wait until the final results are officially released before the top performers for the country can be determined. Despite this caution, residents in Kalinago Territory celebrated Belle and Burton with a motorcade in anticipation of next week’s final results.
