The Power of Packaging: The Science of Creating Compelling Packages

The fusion of travel, hospitality and technology has transformed the way we plan vacations. In light of this, The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association in collaboration with Discover Dominica Authority will be hosting another Action through Collaboration in Tourism Talk (ACTalk) under the theme “The Power of Packaging: The Science of Creating Compelling Packages”

Mr. Kevin A Francis, Executive Vice President of the DHTA, describes the initiative as ‘The first step’. “For the association, this is the first step toward building the 21st century access that has been a driving theme for this new year. ACTalks are strategically placed to help our members and other stakeholders take advantage of industry trends, member best practices, as well as initiatives of the DHTA. This year, we have a number of exciting initiatives that will need our membership to be ready to take advantage. We know that this ACT talk, and those to follow, will do just that.”

The DHTA ACTalks are a series of, Creole breakfast themed, information session led by the membership. Best practices and successes from members are shared for the benefit of all. On January 21st DHTA members and the general public will participate in an interactive session that seeks to help stakeholders understand what are, and how to create more compelling packages. “We are excited to hear from our members on this topic. Packaged vacations are on the rise. More and more visitors are looking for the convenience of booking an entire vacation from their devices and for a long time, we have known that the association membership has all the components necessary to make the most compelling packages in the region. We will hear from Discover Dominica Authority, our member and Representative for the French West Indies, Hervé Nizard, and our transportation members in Decide on Dominica.” Kevin A Francis, DHTA EVP.

Mr. Francis encourages all members and tourism stakeholders to attend this important session as it will affect their successes in the remaining season and into the future. “I cannot stress how important this is for this season and the initiatives that we have coming up. I encourage all stakeholders to take this opportunity to be ahead in this competitive environment.” Mr. Francis also invited other stakeholders to joining the DHTA and be part of this collective movement and voice.
