DHTA Launches Experience Dominica Digital Guidebook for Tourists
The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) launched a new digital guidebook titled “The Ultimate Guide to the Nature Isle” for tourists and adventurers to the island nation. The association has been publishing Experience Dominica, its official magazine for about a decade, but the latest digital version will be quite different and more comprehensive.
Marvlyn James, DHTA’s president, said the new digital guidebook offers tourists and visitors with comprehensive information on navigating Dominica and locating everything they want within minutes. Users will be able to access anything they need in the country from 10 different categories.
“The magazine will feature among other things information on where to stay, culinary experiences, adventure, festivals and culture,” James said. “But of utmost importance it will feature up to date information on how to get to Dominica from different source markets.”
The digital destination handbook which will become available by March was powered by Touch Stay. To access the guidebook, users must visit DHTA’s website at www.experience.dhta.org where they will use their smartphones to scan a QR code for instant download.
Executive vice president of DHTA, Kevin Francis, said it made sense to partner with Touch Stay for the project because the platform is simple to use, affordable, flexible for updating information, has enhanced visibility, and suitable for booking among other conversion techniques.
“Touch Stay is a digital welcome pack, enabling vacation rentals, rental owners and vacation rental managers to share property and area information with its guests,” Francis said. “Both locals and visitors can access Experience Dominica digital magazine to discover new or classic accommodations, taste exciting or familiar flavors at restaurant partners, or go seeking adventure with experienced tour operators and trained guides and so much more”.
