Digicel Dedication to Dominica’s Culture: Supporting the 23rd World Creole Music Festival
Telecommunications powerhouse Digicel-Dominica is once again demonstrating its unwavering commitment to Dominica’s rich cultural heritage. With a generous contribution of $251,000, the company is playing a pivotal role in making the 23rd World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), scheduled for October 27-29, 2023, an unforgettable success.
At a recent WCMF press conference held at the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) office in Roseau, Victor Kovacs, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Digicel Dominica, took the stage to present this substantial contribution. Kovacs emphasized the significance of Digicel’s support and commended the marketing team’s diligent efforts to create a lasting impact.
One remarkable aspect of Digicel’s involvement in the festival is its plan to host esteemed business and government clients in its exclusive VIP box. Anticipating a fantastic turnout, Kovacs expressed his enthusiasm for the event and revealed that Digicel would be actively promoting it throughout the month. He assured attendees that the company was not only proud to provide this level of support but was also dedicated to the well-being of both the community and the nation of Dominica.
Sabrina Royer, the Marketing Assistant of Digicel Dominica, highlighted the company’s remarkable dedication to the World Creole Music Festival over the past 12 years. During this time, Digicel has invested an impressive $8 million, further underlining its commitment to celebrating Dominica’s unique culture and heritage. Royer noted that the festival had seen remarkable growth, with over 30,000 attendees across three nights during the previous year. She tantalizingly hinted at an upcoming independent campaign by Digicel, one that would solidify the company’s deep-rooted appreciation for Dominica’s vibrant culture. The campaign aims to give back even more to Dominica, showcasing Digicel’s unwavering support for the island’s cultural richness and celebrating its unique traditions.
