Digicel’s partnership with Dominica’s own Colton-T is good news to everyone in the country. The dancehall artiste has been billed to perform at the forthcoming World Creole Music Festival in October 2019 with international artistes such as Buju Banton, Princess Lover, Eric Virgal, Oswald, Patrice Roberts, Davido, Vayb, Mr. Killa, Nu Look, Romain Virgo, Etana, Bunji Garlin and others.
Head of consumer sales at Digicel Dominica Calvia Timothy said including Colton-T on Digicel D’Music App team is to enable him promote local Dominican music to the international arena. Miguel Labadie, an events promoter and radio personality, commended Colton-T for his quality brand of music which is continuously putting the country on the global map.
Colton-T, who recently released his music album titled “Impossible”, said he is driven by the philosophy of possibility in all he does. He says “impossible” to him means “I’m Possible”, and whatever is conceivable is definitely achievable. He clarified that he is trying to make artistes in the country understand that they do not need to leave the shores of Dominica to make it abroad, but that any talented artiste can make it in the country as they can make it elsewhere.
