Dominica Red Cross and Chances Orphanage Receive $7000 Donation from Fine Foods Inc.

Fine Foods Inc. through its brand BOP Insecticide Spray has made a timely donation of cash and hurricane essentials to two non-profit organizations for the Hurricane Season. This donation includes $4000.00 in cash and kind to the Dominica Red Cross Society and $3000.00 worth of hurricane essential including canned goods, water, toiletries, and BOP insecticide spray that the company distributes to the Chances Orphanage.  

Brand Coordinator for the BOP brand, Miss Sabrina Royer stated that “these two organizations were chosen due to the active role they play in providing support to the vulnerable. The Dominica Red Cross is a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to building safer, healthier, and resilient communities and provides support during and after natural disasters while the CHANCES is an institution providing comprehensive care, and support to orphaned children.”

Our contribution to these organizations will amplify our commitment to sustainability and supporting the vulnerable members of our community in times of disaster. The donation will provide the Dominica Red Cross with additional support to assist during the hurricane season and will help the chances Orphanage to be better prepared.

Don Corriette, Vice President of the Dominica Red Cross Society, thanked Fine Foods and BOP for their generous donation. Mr. Corriette stated the donation will go a long way in assisting the organization in delivering their services to the needy, particularly in times of emergency and disaster. He is elated that Fine Foods Inc. has recognized the Red Cross Society as a premier NGO and realizes the need for support to meet the organization’s mission. Similarly, Mrs. Jenny St.Valle of Chances Orphanage conveyed her appreciation for the donation, emphasizing how the food supplies they’ve received will go a long way in enriching the young ones in their care at the orphanage.

Fine Foods Inc and BOP encourage other businesses and individuals to join them in supporting nonprofit organizations and initiatives that make a difference during the hurricane season and also advises all to be prepared and stay alert.
