President of the college, Dr. Donald Peters, welcomes all students to a safe environment.

It is a pleasure for us as a community to welcome students, especially the freshmen. It is challenging for us during the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the college is implementing and recognizing the Ministry of Health protocol and plan to ensure that our students and staff remain safe. We look forward to a successful semester.

The institution has done a lot to prepare for the reopening of the campus during the pandemic. The cleaners have been trained by the Environmental Coordinating Unit to sanitize all classrooms and buildings properly, and the washroom facilities are better equipped to serve students and staff. An antibacterial solution is available for use throughout the campus via dispensers; students can purchase facemasks on campus; class sizes are reduced, and a list of protocols is in circulation to guide students and staff during these unprecedented times.

The protocols for reopening of the college include:

  • Students must wear their masks in class.
  • Anyone entering an office on campus is required to wear a mask.
  • While on campus, students, staff and guests are to maintain social distancing and are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • Students and staff are encouraged to carry their personal hand sanitizers.
  • Students and staff are encouraged to practice good hygiene.
  • If any student, faculty, or staff is showing symptoms, The Department of Student Affairs should be contacted (275-8019), and they will then contact the COVID-19 hotline.
  • If students, lecturers, or staff experience COVID 19 symptoms, they should remain home and call the nearest Health Centre.

The college cares about providing quality education in a safe environment for all students. The institution understands its responsibility in curbing the spread of Covid-19 and is enthusiastic about reopening its doors.
