Dominican Nurse Working in the UK, Hannah Jackson, Dies of COVID-19
A Dominica nurse who worked with Medway Maritime Hospital in the UK has died from COVID-19 complications. Hannah Jackson was a native of Castle Bruce village and emigrated to the UK in April 2019. The CEO of Medway Hospital described the late nurse as a dedicated individual who took her nursing job very seriously.
Working with the Surgical Assessment Unit of the hospital, Jackson was said to be very dedicated to caring for patients who fell under her direct care. The hospital management commiserated with her family and the community the hospital serves for the loss of the nurse.
”On behalf of everyone here at Medway, including our patients and the communities we serve, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Hannah’s family,” the Medway CEO said.
Internal sources disclosed that the hospital did everything in their capacity to save Jackson’s life but she ultimately succumbed to the disease. Friends at home and abroad have also described the late nurse as a very friendly and professional caregiver who applied compassion in the discharge of her service.
Dr. Emmanuel Finn, Jackson’s dentist uncle resident in Washington DC expressed deep sorrows at the news of his niece’s death, saying she was a very lovable individual who applied herself to her job with all professionalism.
