A group of Dominicans, who belong to Waitukubuli Writers (WW) has published a book of poems and short stories which aims to expose and preserve new works of literature by authors on the island and in the diaspora.
The book, ‘Montage Domnik: New Stories and Poems from Dominica,’ contains the work of 24 of the country’s most energetic poets and authors.
It was published by River Ridge Press, located in Layou Park, Dominica; and according to publisher, Kristine Simelda, “it describes not only the lush physical landscape of the island but also the soaring, fertile imaginations of its contributors.”
The publication of this Anthology is a good effort and particularly encouraging to those who have never had any of their work published.” Mr. Alick Lazare. one of the founding members of Waitukubuli Writers said.
Jermainia Colaire Didier, whose work is also part of this publication believes that “‘Montage Domnik‘ is a fresh look at the writings of mature as well as emerging authors. It offers the reader an opportunity to relive tradition as well as leap into the world of the imaginary.”
The book will be launched on Saturday February 27, 2021.
