Dominica’s Governance Issues re: CBI revenues-“Where de Money Gone”
The opaque administration of Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment inflows – including inadequate disclosure of the number of passports issued annually, actual revenues collected (monies diverted to special funds under the Government Fund Option), Revenue collection reports & administration of Special Funds and full mechanism governing the use of generated inflows – continues to generate strong public and political concerns about the governance of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Controversy breeds on the legal framework or the lack thereof for accounts such as the 2018-2019 budget question of 1.2 billion dollars in respect to what monies is for the real estate option versus special funds for Housing (EDF) which ought to be part of the consolidated Funds.
The nation of Dominica is incensed with a frenzy and urgency
in demanding answers to undying questions in the heart of the nation, “where de money gone”.
Speculations are furiously growing about the true accounts of CBI funds, contracts disclosures for Range development, MMCE (Montreal Management Corporation), Sam Raphael, Alrick Lawrence, SC…..
Allegations are swinging forcefully including the question of whether MMCE is involved in the facilitation of inappropriate payments to politically exposed persons in Dominica, including high ranking officials of the Dominica Labor Party as part of Kick Back Arrangements.
The cloud of secrecy and wind of murky and dubious CBI accountability is spiraling into a national disaster which can simply be avoided by a “come clean government”.
Some are doubtful whether the ordinary Dominican understands the magnitude and stratosphere of corruption in Dominica, but one thing is certain, the Opposition Leader and incoming Prime Minister together with his esteemed Team is committed to get every Dominican to understand the truth behind CBI revenues
