Donald Peters tells 387 DSC graduands to be “resilient-certified graduates”

President of the Dominica State College (DSC), Dr. Donald Peters, has urged new graduates of the institution to be “DSC resilient-certified graduates”. He said this during the October 28 graduation ceremony of 387 graduates from the tertiary institution. The graduation ceremony took place in three parts so as to adhere to the health and safety guidelines put in place by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The graduation was attended by 321 graduands while 66 were absent.

Dr. Peters urged the new graduates to utilize all they have learnt in the institution to practical life situations whether they continue their education or choose to join the workforce. He encouraged them to deploy the resilience they adopted as students at DSC to whatever they face in the open world, and to project a fighting spirit at winning every battle of life.

I want you, as you continue your education or join the workforce, to demonstrate continually to the world that you are DSC resilient-certified graduate and that you will always try your best to overcome obstacles and become the best at what you do. We believe that you are the catalyst for the development of the intellectual wealth of Dominica; you will be the developer of our economy, the problem-solvers, and the peacemakers of our society.
