Embarkation/Disembarkation Forms Cancelled for citizens and holders of Dominica Passports

PM Roosevelt Skerrit has cancelled the requirements for embarkation/disembarkation forms by citizens and holders of Dominican passports. Effective Monday, March 6, Skerrit said the forms will no longer be in use; and that visitors to the country will only have to fill another type of form endorsed by the immigration and customs.

While Dominican citizens and passport-holders will not be required to fill the embarkation/disembarkation forms, Skerrit said visitors will utilize another form prepared jointly by immigration and customs services. He disclosed that the visitors’ form will become available before April 2, and that visitors will also be able to fill them out online.

The prime minister noted that while police officers have doubled as immigration officers at ports of entries, the situation will be reversed so that police officers are tasked with constitutional duties that enable them to protect and serve the populace. He added that Dominicans will also no longer need to check through immigration when exiting the country in line with international practices.

You will only be subjected to immigration when you are coming into Dominica. There will be no need for you to go in another line after you have checked in to the airline to give your passport to be stamped. That does not mean that the police there or customs cannot pull you aside and question you and search you if they see you are suspicious…
