Civil engineer and entrepreneur, Jodie Dublin-Dangleben, was the guest speaker at the graduation of l (SMSS). The graduation held under the theme “One Book Closes, Another Opens” and saw the graduation of 28 students. Faculty and staff of the school as well as parents were on hand to celebrate the 28 graduands at St. Gerald Chapel.
Speaking to the outgoing students, Dublin-Dangleben likened the completion of the students’ studies at SMSS to the closing of the chapter of a great book. She warned the graduates that life is a battle and that they should be ready to fight for their destiny. She said the beginning or the middle of a book may not always be pleasant, but the end is always sweet since all matters will be resolved.
Life really has a real funny way of reminding you that you are not in control. Once you hit a wrong note, it’s the next note that makes it good or bad. Be aware though that not every plan you write will always work. Sometimes everything you try may fail, and that’s alright.

The entrepreneur went on to tell the graduating students that they must cultivate a winner’s mindset and see every failure as a stepping stone to greater success. She urged them to seize the moments and take advantage of every opportunity life presents them. She said the students must believe in themselves and not allow the unpleasant experiences of life to discourage or make them total failures.
