The Cabinet has approved amendments to the Environmental Health Services (COVID-19) Regulations S.R. & O 26 of 2021 as follows:
- Supermarkets and Pharmacies to be open on Sunday from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Petrol Stations to be open on Sunday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
The public is reminded that opening hours for businesses are from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays, 6:00 am to 1:00 pm.
All nightclubs, bars, gaming establishments and gyms will remain closed. The Cabinet is considering other amendments to the SRO to take effect from Monday, September 6, 2021.
More information will be provided to the public in a subsequent bulletin.
The public is encouraged to practice all protective measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission, including the wearing of masks, washing of hands, safe respiratory practices, physical distancing and sanitization of frequently used surfaces. Social gatherings remain strictly prohibited.
