IOM Dominica Newsletter Issue 2: September 2019

Right after Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas between 1-2 September 2019, staff from the IOM Dominica Office joined the United Nations Emergency Response Team set up to assist the Government of Bahamas with relief and recovery operations.

Within a few days IOM had set up operations in Grand Abaco, and in one week, distributed 1000 tarpaulins in Marsh Harbour, Abaco. Since then IOM has launched a USD$ 10 million appeal to continue work in key areas including counter-trafficking, displacement tracking and camp coordination and camp management (CCCM).
