Jude JAYDEE Delauney Beats Nine Competitors to Emerge New Calypso Monarch

Jude “JAYDEE” Delauney is the 2020 Calypso Monarch. He beat nine other competitors at the forecourt of Windsor Park to emerge the newest king of Calypso music in Dominica. He became the ultimate winner after six years of first entering the competition to the delight of many Calypso fans across the island.

The first runner-up in the competition is Tasha P; second runner-up is De Webb; and third runner-up goes to Bingo.

JAYDEE won the hearts of fans and judges with his “Dat is Mass” and “Doh Complain” song-tracks, and his sterling performance at the Saturday night show ricocheted throughout the Windsor Park Sports Stadium with the audience going wild for him.

The organizers thanked the participants and all supporters for a great event. The actual crowning ceremony of Jay Dee as the 2020 Calypso Monarch was electric, and his regalia indicated that he is a Calypso music king that will be much loved by his subjects.
