National cyclist Ajaniah “Ajani” Casimir is proud to have two major sponsors supporting him in his sporting career. L’Express des Îleses and the Central Cooperative Credit Union Limited (CCCUL) are backing the young cyclist in his future activities.
The sponsorship offered by L’Express de Iles will fund Casimir’s trips to Martinique and Guadeloupe where he will be competing in upcoming races. The young cyclist plans to complete in Venezuela before the end of this year.
Presenting a $3,500 cheque to Casimir, the Acting General Manager of CCCUL, Triscia Stoute, said Casimir will be CCCUL’s first official brand ambassador. She and the cooperative’s marketing specialist, Lorraine Henderson, said he will be the new face of the cooperative in terms of brand awareness and attracting youths to save.
Casimir thanked L’Express des Îles for their goodwill and also expressed appreciation to CCCUL for their sponsorship. He said he is proud to be associated with the organizations and stated that he looks forward to promoting their brands and offerings. He noted that he will be zealous at promoting the organizations to the outside world.
The president of the Dominica Cycling Association (DCA), Ronald Charles, also thanked the sponsors for their support. He also thanked the Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) which had always sponsored Casimir at cycling. He said the young cyclist has proven to be an excellent sportsman who beat French nationals at competitions when everyone thought he couldn’t do it.
