List of Airlines Coming Into Dominica & Properties Given COVID-19 Clearance
Director of Tourism and deputy coordinator for border reopening, Colin Piper, has issued a list of airlines with scheduled flights to Dominica following the reopening of the national borders on July 15, as well as commercial properties issued with official COVID-19 certifications.
According to Piper, some of the airlines that will be operating in Dominica as from August 11 are –
- Silver Airways – Thursday and Saturday – from San Juan
- Air Antilles – daily flights – from Barbados with connection from St. Lucia
- Air Antilles – from Point-a-Pitre
- InterCaribbean – daily flights – from Barbados
- Winair – Monday and Thursday – from St. Maarten
- Winair – Thursday and Saturday – from St. Maarten via Antigua
Piper also identified 13 commercial properties that have been issued COVID-19 clearance certifications to operate in the country. He disclosed that 28 entities applied for the clearance after submitting their action plans, and that 17 entities have had their action plans approved at the moment and they could be issued their clearance any time from now.
To this extent, a total of 415 rooms in commercial hotel properties have been cleared after meeting necessary COVID-19 regulations from the government. The 13 properties that now have COVID-19 certifications are –

- Atlantique View Resort & Spa
- Hotel the Champs
- Mango Garden Cottages
- Riverside Hotel
- Rosalie Bay Resort
- Tamarind Tree Hotel
- Seaworld Guest House
- Picard Beach Cottages
- Portsmouth Beach Hotel
- Secret Bay
- Fort Young Hotel
Piper noted that global travel is on low ebb at the moment since coronavirus restrictions are still in force in many countries, but tourism will pick up gradually in Dominica and operative airlines will enjoy good business.
