Lockhart-Hypolite Vows to Make Roads in Roseau South Motorable in a Year
Chekira Lockhart-Hypolite, the new MP for Roseau South constituency, said all roads will become motorable before the end of her first year in office. She gave updates on the status of road rehabilitation in the constituency and said people will begin to access their homes with ease shortly.
She also disclosed that more than $250,000 was expended for the completion of the road at Madrelle 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue. She added that around $200,000 was also spent to execute road rehabilitation projects in the Upper Castle Comfort area. And she also revealed that a road next to Giraudel Primary School on Clarke road has been completed, but drainage work ongoing on the road.
“So, the aim is by the end of the first year of my reign as parliamentary representative of the Roseau South Constituency to ensure that all the roads in Roseau South are resurfaced and motorable and people will have access to their homes,” Lockhart-Hypolite said.
People within the Roseau South constituency have praised the new parliamentary representative for her vision and urged her not to lose speed in her drive to make all roads within her domain motorable. Lockhart-Hypolite thanked the people for their supports and vowed to exceed their expectations within her first couple of years in office.
