Melissa Skerrit Says Dominica Is Now Able To Sustain Everyone without Worries

Melissa Poponne-Skerrit said Dominica is now able to sustain everyone without the need to seek greener pastures abroad. The DLP candidate for the Roseau Central said that under the Skerrit administration, there is now a new Dominica where everyone can live and retire without any cares in the world. She said there are jobs for the young and retirement benefits for the old in a newly emerging Dominica.

While speaking to DLP supporters in Guadeloupe, Poponne-Skerrit said there are numerous hotels to provide employment for the young and modern hospitals to cater to the health needs of the aged.

“The world-class hotels that are going up will provide employment opportunities at all levels of operation for young and not so young Dominicans,” Poponne-Skerrit said. “The new hospital will again provide choice for those wishing to return home in the evening of their days.”

Poponne-Skerrit urged people at the Roseau Central constituency to vote for her and the entire DLP administration for better life and economic emancipation. She encouraged party faithfuls to provide the DLP government with the votes needed to raise standards of life for all and make Dominica the best in East Caribbean and beyond.

If elected to office as the Roseau Central parliamentarian, she promised to improve water transportation between Guadeloupe, Martinique and Dominica and work with the DLP administration to bring speedy infrastructural improvements and economic empowerment to the area.

Poponne-Skerrit said her leadership will make Roseau a bustling city that remains vibrant with social life and economic activity all day long, like other cosmopolitan cities in the western world. He urged voters to ignore the UWP in the coming general elections because they are not good at anything apart from taking up opposition stances to good things, adding that it is only the DLP that can bring dreams to pass in Dominica.
