The Morning Star Preschool of Stock Farm has won the Schools Beautification Competition organized as part of Tourism Awareness Month 2019.
This competition was organized in collaboration with the 4H Clubs with the objective of beautifying the entrance and surroundings of five schools. The judging criteria included points for originality, creativity, overall impression and use of colors.
Participating schools were the Christian Union Primary School, Hibiscus Day Care, Morning Star Preschool, Social Center Canefield Preschool and the St. Alphonsus Preschool. The schools were provided with tires, dirt, plants and paint and were asked to utilize them creatively to beautify their surroundings.
Parents, students and members of 4H Clubs from the Dominica Grammar School, Convent High School St. Mary’s Academy, and Fond Cole and Canefield community clubs assisted with the beautification programme.
