In March 2018 the magistrate’s court freed Abraham and slammed the prosecution for failing to comply with an order of disclosure. Abraham was accused of murdering Hubert Wright, 53, of Grand Bay.

Wright’s partly decomposing body was found in a shallow grave in Savanne Paille on November 8, 2016 around 6:30 pm.

The matter appeared numerous times before the court but prosecutors asked several times for adjournments, saying they were waiting for forensic evidence from Jamaica.

In February a final adjournment date was given for March 1 but the prosecution was unable to provide the evidence from Jamaica. However, two months after he was freed, he was rearrested after the prosecution reinstated the charge.

  1. Wayne Norde does it again. Bro where is your conscience? Is it the money? If you know a man is guilty and you have that feeling, do you dismiss dat and focus on just evidence? is so you rolling? the evidence only for the murders.

    1. This is a grave injustice.. Dominica law system need an overhaul. So many fellas should still be behind bars. All Dominica’s institutions are failing. Dominica is a failing state.

  2. AGAIN – this is the level we are at. Murders walking free. BECAUSE the DPP cannot competently carry out their duties. No forensic resources of our own. How can we have no forensic resources? What is the money used for? We cannot fix our High Court (Canada did it for us) – now a Murder walks free because of lack of Forensic evidence.

    1. Exaxctly my thoughts Blue Queen, what the hell is wrong with this administration that they cannot even get the basics. How will they manage to govern, how have they manage for so long and no one shares concern. We are a few, we must raise awareness.
