A new strategic partnership will support least developed countries (LDCs), small island developing states (SIDS), and some 79 African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) states to implement their nationally determined contributions (NDCs), the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and the ACP Secretariat announced on Monday.
The two organizations announced the new partnership after the launch of their respective reports at COP24. The two reports both analyze how the development community can better support the implementation of NDCs.

The ACP Report – Climate Ambitions: An analysis of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) in the ACP Group of States – provides a comparative overview of ACP NDCs. It recommends actions to help ACP Countries access the necessary technical and financial support and offers new ideas for donors to better support the upgrade of ACP NDCs.
The new partnership between the ACP Group of States and UNCDF will enhance support for NDC implementation in LDCs, SIDS and ACP countries. It will help to connect climate initiatives at national and subnational levels to support NDC achievement in target countries.
