Nestled On a 200-Acre Land, Luxury Resort Coulibri Ridge Is Set For Guests

Luxury resort Coulibri Ridge is gearing up to receiving guests within the shortest possible time. Nestled on a 200-acre land, the resort is an eco-friendly facility that will awe guests and residents of surrounding areas. The resort is owned by Daniel Langlois.

Langlois did not set out to construct or own a luxury resort when he first visited Dominica in 1997 with his companion, Dominique. They were only looking for landed property which they could buy to build their residential home. They had stayed at the Petite Coulibri Guest Cottages, and this is the area they eventually chose to build their home.

Ultimately, they began buying up more land around the area and this was when the idea for the luxury resort struck. So they made the designs and planned for their resort. They began construction and implemented visions for solar energy power and water harvesting facilities with the aim of making the resort fully resilient and self-sustaining.

They constructed the resort like a community and every structure individually produces energy independently of the others, they also harvest rainwater for their own and communal use.

The resort has 14 spacious and air-conditioned studios and duplex suites. Many of the suites have outdoor shower gardens and private swimming pools. The houses are constructed to be resilient or resistant to earthquakes and other natural disasters. Even the construction materials used for the flooring, ceilings, doors and outdoor facilities were produced from renewable sources and are fully recyclable. This is to conform to the government’s objective to make Dominica the first climate-resilient nation in the world.

Coulibri Ridge employs local residents to work at the resort, and the restaurant is supplied by local farmers and fishermen in nearby Soufriere and Scotts Head. The management is planning to renovate the roads leading to the resort so that visitors can enjoy their visit to the facility.
