New Water Supply System and Resource Centre Coming to Trafalgar in 2021

A new water supply system and a community centre/resource centre/hurricane centre are coming to Trafalgar in 2021. This was revealed by the parliamentary representative for Roseau Valley constituency, Dr. Irving McIntyre who stated that other surrounding communities will also benefit from the infrastructures.

According to McIntyre, the new water supply will be executed next year but the community resource centre will be completed before the end of this year. He said the water system will supply Trafalgar, the Roseau Valley, Shawford, and other surrounding areas. The water supply will be generated from Providence. He disclosed that the resource centre will be used for public events and lectures that would benefit everyone in the region.

“It’s a beautiful building and the villagers of Trafalgar are really looking forward to it,” McIntyre said. “This is going to be like an incubation area where we are going to have a lot of lectures, talks and discussions and public events, so that we can educate the youth and the public of Trafalgar in general. So there is a lot going on for Trafalgar.”

The parliamentary representative went on to state that Roseau Valley will soon experience a boost of tourism and health initiatives that will make it an epicentre for tourism and wellness development in the region. He added that the DLP administration remains committed to the overall development of the people and the physical growth of Dominica in general.
