Nigeria’s Independence Day holds immense historical significance as it marks the day in 1960 when the country gained its independence from British colonial rule. It signifies the birth of a nation and the beginning of a journey towards self-determination, self-governance, and self-identity.
The occasion is further dedicated to the memorial of the country’s heroes who fought for independence the likes of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sir Ahmadu Bello, and others.
