Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has been sworn in for a fifth term in office as the prime minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Skerrit acquired six new portfolios at the swearing-in ceremony which took place at the Office of the President. He was administered the Oath of Office, the Oath of Allegiance, and the Oath of Secrecy on Tuesday, December 17.
The Government Information Service (GIS) disclosed that the prime minister was also appointed as the –
- Minister for Finance
- Minister for Economic Affairs
- Minister for Investment
- Minister for Planning, Resilience, Sustainable Development
- Minister for Telecommunications and Broadcasting
The GIS stated that the prime minister can assume these portfolios according to Section 59 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Other cabinet ministers were later sworn into respective offices at a ceremony which held at Windsor Park Stadium. These are –
