Portsmouth Secondary School crowned U20 Sports Division Football champions

Portsmouth Secondary School was crowned back to back Champion on Championship Friday 17th January 2020 at the U20 level in the Sports Division Football championship.

Portsmouth Secondary School playing on home ground infront of a huge crowd took a two goals lead over the DGS within 30 minutes of the first half in U20 finals.

Tyson Sudre scored the first goal for PSS after 26 minute of play in the first half. Two minutes later it was Tyriq Joseph who continued his goal scoring form to put the PSS two goals to zero on 28mins.

Portsmouth was put unto the back foot in the 31st minute of the first half after Ajahlie Ettiene received a second yellow card. The first half ended 2-0.

The Dominica Grammar School came out the hungrier of the two teams in the second half. They got their just reward in the 51st minute of play when Tyreke Jnobaptiste found the back of the net to cut the lead by half.

The DGS started getting more possession of the ball being one man up and created several opportunities which they could not convert. PSS themselves got several opportunities to put the game to rest but was unable to.

The game ended 2 goals to 1 Portsmouth Secondary School are Back to Back Champion in the U20 Division.
