Salybia Robbery Suspects Jarvis Alfred & Chelsea Anselm Surrender to Police
Jarvis Alfred and Chelsea Anselm, two armed robbery suspects who were involved in robbery incidents in the Kalinago Territory on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 have surrendered to police authorities. The suspects surrendered to police a day after two robbery incidents that left a third colleague, Alfred Davidson, dead during a shootout with police.
The three armed robbers had successfully robbed a Springfield trading delivery truck and attempted to also rob a shop owner when the police came upon the scene. During a subsequent shootout, Alfred Davidson who was driving the robbers’ getaway SUV car died and the vehicle crashed into an electric pole, making Jarvis and Chelsea to flee on foot.
Police authorities issued a release calling for information on the fleeing suspects to aid their arrest, before both men walked into the police headquarters to turn themselves in. They were accompanied by their lawyers, with attorney at law Ronald Charles, representing 23-year-old Chelsea Anselm.
PRO Simon Edwards said investigations are ongoing into the armed robbery incidents and that the public will be carried along as more information emerges. However, security analysts said it is certain that the suspects will have their day in court. Charles confirmed he will be representing Anselm and that he had managed to convince him to turn himself in to the authorities.
