Search Continues for Missing Fond Cole Fisherman Pattison Walsh

A search operation is underway in the southeast of Dominica for 51-year-old fisherman Pattison Walsh of Fond Cole, who was reported missing at sea earlier this week. Walsh reportedly left his community to go fishing on Monday, March 24, and has not been seen since.

According to family members concerns were raised when Walsh failed to return home by nightfall. A search party was launched shortly after, and his fishing vessel was discovered adrift and unoccupied near the southeastern coastline. The Dominica Coast Guard has since joined efforts, alongside community volunteers, in what is now a full-scale sea and coastal search.

Residents of Fond Cole describe Walsh as an experienced fisherman and a well-known figure in the community. His unexpected disappearance has deeply unsettled the tight-knit community, where prayers and hope continue to anchor residents awaiting news.

Local authorities have urged mariners and coastal residents to report any sightings or relevant information to the nearest police station or disaster office. The search remains active, and updates will be provided as they become available.
