Secret Bay and Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort received 5-star rating awards. The awards were given by the 2019 International Property Awards, Americas Division. Both hotels won several awards in several categories on account of their exotic appeal, stunning designs and architecture. Secret Bay and Fort Young are owned by GEMS Holdings Limited, a leading property developer in the hospitality and tourism sector.
Both hotel and the dive resort facilities were designed by ARGO Development Studio. Lucky enough, GEMS and ARGO also won awards in the following categories –
- Best Hotel Architecture – Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort (Redevelopment)
- Best Hotel Interior – Palisades Restaurant, Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort
- Best New Hotel Construction and Design – Fort Block, Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort
- Best Leisure Architecture – Zing Zing Restaurant and Gommier Spa, Secret Bay
Zing Zing was Secret Bay’s first dining and it was designed by ARGO. The architectural and design firm also designed Gommier Spa in Secret Bay. The firm equally designed the guest rooms, restaurants, waterfront and eatery at Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort. The property managers expressed their satisfaction with the awards, saying it goes a long way to positioning them for greater exploits in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The International Property Award is the highest award that can be given to any hotels or resorts in the property/real estate, hospitality and tourism sectors. It awards the highest level of operational excellence in the industry and takes into account the architectural designs of the property, the position, dining and wellness facilities as well as cuisines among others.
