Seven Foreign Players Join Sisserou Ladies in CONCACAF Games against Guyana

Seven Dominican players based abroad have been invited to join the Sisserou Ladies in the CONCACAF games in Guyana. The overseas players will take part in the senior women’s qualifiers for games against Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and other Caribbean nations. The tournament comes up at the Leonara Stadium in Guyana.

The Foreign Players are:

  • Kira Bertrand
  • Kylee Bertand
  • Briyanna Philip
  • Alanna Finn
  • Alijah Titre
  • Briya Philip, and
  • Sari Finn

Other players in the squad are Keanna Francis, Tabique locket, Alexina Etienne, Romelcia Phillip, Tyana Hilaire, Alianne George, Britney Stoute, Pearl Etienne, Nyomie Defoe, Starr Humphreys, China Tulloch, Christina Sobers, and Kasika Samuel.

The Sisserou Ladies team will match up against Guyana on Wednesday, February 16 and against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday, February 20. Kira Bertrand will lead the team as captain, Britney Stoute as deputy captain, and Rosilia Registe as coach player. The overall coach of the team is Albert Titre; and his is assisted by a technical team which comprises Delroy Watt, Nathaniel Angol, Kaitlyn LaRocque, Rosilia Registe, Jarsmine Vidal and Alyan Christopher.

Titre said the team is in top shape to tackle Guyana even though the COVID-19 pandemic had been very challenging due to restrictions faced by the team. He however thanked the DFA for making it possible for the players to train vigorously for the qualifying matches ahead of them. He expressed great hopes that the Dominica will come tops in the games to win the CONCACAF.
