Sports Division 2020 Championship for 13 & Under Primary Schools

The National Bank of Dominica Sponsored Sports Division 13 & Under Primary Schools Football competition commenced today with the North West Zone in the boys segment of the competition.

The competition got started with an opening ceremony chaired by Sports officer Mr. Don Leogal with remarks from the Sports Coordinator Mr. Trevor Shillingford and Mrs. Suzanne Piper Executive Manager of the Marketing & Information System Department of NBD Sponsors of the Competition.

The symbolic presentation of the Sponsorship cheque of $15,000 was presented to the Sports Coordinator Mr. Shillingford by Mrs. Piper, after which they both met the School teams officially.

The team then made a ceremonial lap around the field after which the games got started.

At the end of the First Round of matches in the North West Zone of the National Bank of Dominica Sports Division 13 & Under Primary Schools Boys Football Competition, the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School is in First place with 6 points from their two games played.

The St. John’s Primary School in second place on goal difference of 0, over the Coulibistrie Primary School also on 3 points with a -1 goal difference from their two games played.

The Colihaut/ Dublanc combined Primary Schools and the Paix Bouche Primary School are both in 4th place with identical -2 goal differences from their two games.

The second round of matches will take place on the 6th of March 2020 at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth.
