Ti Village Kweyol Tout Bagai Domnik to Showcase Local Products and Cuisines

This year’s Ti Village Kweyol Tout Bagai Domnik will showcase local Dominican events, products, arts, and cuisines. Replacing the annual Flow’s Creole in the Park events, the Ti Village Creole event will be an opportunity to promote the country’s entrepreneurs and made-in-Dominica products.

According to the Minister for Trade and Commerce, Ian Douglas, the event is a subset of the World Creole Music Festival and is a collaboration between the Dominica Festivals Committee and Discover Dominica Authority as well as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He revealed the programme will hold at the Botanical Gardens from October 24 to 27, 2022.

The minister said the government will showcase Dominican entrepreneurs and take the country’s local products to the next level.

We will be highlighting our vibrant small, medium, and micro-enterprise subsector in Dominica. We have all of the locally produced products in Dominica to live healthy lives. We have the opportunity to share these rich foods with the rest of the world. Let’s get Dominica back on the regional market to reenergize the Dominica brand and to raise awareness both here and abroad so that we can influence consumers’ desire for Dominican fresh produce and value-added products.

Hon. Ian Douglas, Minister for Trade and Commerce

Festival and Events Assistant Kerwin Jno Baptiste said the programme will feature Hotspot and Dwive. Communications officer in the Ministry of Blue and Green Economy, Petra Grell-Shillingford, said patrons will be glad they participate in the events. The lead communications officer at Flow Dominica, Ferdina Frampton, said his company is willing to provide financial support for the success of the event.
