Travel and accommodation made easier as Zouk performers hit Dominica for WCMF 2019. This year’s World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) in Dominica promises to be fun and exciting with an all-star cast of Zouk performers outlined for the event, and travel plus accommodation made easier for attendees from outside the island.
Samantha Letang, the marketing executive for the Dominica Festival Committee, regional and international participants can travel down to Dominica and find lodging with complete ease. She said air and sea access into the country is easier, and are numerous housing accommodation in the north as well as shuttle services to transport people everywhere they want.
“Again we encourage people to come out and support the events…let’s enjoy and have fun. We are also at the independence times so we can just come out to enjoy the lineup of activities as well as the popular musicians and cultural groups on roll-call,” Letang said.
The event will hold between October 25 to 27 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau; and some of the artistes lineup include Princess Lover, Eric Virgal, Oswald, Mel, Buju Banton, Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann, Extasy Band, Triple Kay International and a host of others. This year’s edition is the 21st to hold in Dominica.
The Zouk All-Stars lineup is expected to produce passionate and electric performances to delight audiences. The energetic artistes billed to perform are known all over Dominica and throughout the Caribbean and around the world. Eric Virgal and Princess Lover are both from Martinique but ecstatic Zouk performers with a rich Creole personality, while Mel is from Dominica and hugely popular throughout the French West Indies – her hit-track “Touch Me” remix with Jmax of Martinique hit over 16 million views on YouTube.
