Two Young Men Face Murder Charges over the Gunshot Killing of Damien Ernest
Two young men are facing murder charges for the gunshot killing of Damien Ernest of Kings Hill. The culprits, 19-year-old Marvin Marlon Albert of Grand Coulibrie village and 20-year-old Samron Thomas of Montin village in Grand Bay were found guilty of killing 23-year-old Ernest on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
Ernest’s body was found lying face down on the road to the popular Boeri Lake with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police investigators. On being moved to the Princess Margaret Hospital for examination, doctors pronounced him already dead before arrival.
Following police investigations, Marvin Albert and Samron Thomas were arrested and arraigned before Magistrate Michael Laudat for murder. They could not enter a plea since a murder charge must be tried by a judge and jury, but the duo was however remanded at the Stock Farm Prison while the case is adjourned to September 10, 2020.
Attorney-at-law Wayne Norde will be representing Thomas while Albert is yet to get legal representation.
