We Must Ensure That Skerrit Family Party Is Politically Erased In the East – Baptiste

President of the United Workers Party (UWP), Isaac Baptiste, is asking voters to deal with the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) by voting them out of office. Baptiste said there is little or no hope for Dominicans in the east under the DLP administration, urging the people that “we must ensure that Skerrit Family Party is politically erased in the east.”

Baptiste told UWP supporters in La Plaine that the Skerrit administration holds no real value for the people. “They took away our livelihood on purpose. We must punish them, we must vote them out. We must ensure that the United Workers Party sweep the East with your overwhelming support,” Baptiste told supporters.

According to Baptiste, it is plain unthinkable that the DLP government should consider the sales of passport as the main source of government revenue. He said this loss of direction of how to cultivate sustainable revenue for running the economy is causing misery for the common man. Baptiste further stated that the present administration is making people dependent on government handouts instead of creating jobs.

He said that this will no longer be the case when the UWP under the leadership of Lennox Linton comes to power. The UWP will restore hope, agricultural livelihood, security for hamlets and villages, enhancement for the natural environment, as well as inter-settlement communication between communities, Baptiste promised. He said it will then be possible for communities to choose their leaders and manage their own affairs instead of being dictated to by the central government.

Ernie Jno-Finn, candidate for the Castle Bruce Constituency was in attendance at the UWP Laplain rally; and so was Rosana Emmanuel, UWP candidate for the Petite Savanne Constituency. Jno-Finn said she’s up to correct the injustices brought on by the cross-carpeting of Loreen Bannis-Roberts from UWP to DLP, and Emmanuel said will bring economic empowerment to rural women in her constituency.

First Citizens

A Patriot to the cause. A Citizen First before the colors of the party. Dominica needs to be reborn, we as a nation need to rise from the Ashes. My contribution is the truth. I will let the ink in my pen inform on the truth about this country and the dark path it has taken.

  1. Just more DLP bashing with nothing constructive. Come on Baptiste I know you can do much better than that. This I why no one will take you guys seriously. This ain’t a primary school where you can decide to punish the PM because you don’t like his leadership.
