Whitchurch IGA Supercentre Celebrates 45 Years!
On Saturday 12th December, 2020 Whitchurch IGA Supercentre will celebrate its 45th Anniversary. For any Company, this is a great milestone, for Whitchurch IGA Supercentre, it is one filled with gratitude. Having opened its doors to the public on Friday 12th December, 1975, the Supercentre offers a wide range of local, regional and international grocery items.
The Anniversary celebrations kicked off on Thursday 9th December, 2020 with a community outreach program. The House of Hope (Delices), Chances (Jimmit), Grange Home for the Elderly (Portsmouth) and P.H.A.R.C.S Home for the Elderly (Morne Daniel) were the recipients of charitable donations. The donations were made in partnership with Whitchurch IGA Supercentre and their supportive suppliers namely Carib Brewery Ltd., Nestle, Unilever, Massy (Valrico), Weetabix, Ansa Mcal, Trinidad Tissues and Creamery Novelties.
On Friday 11th December, 2020 the Supercentre will host its renowned “Friday Chill” which will feature local vendors and the renowned ‘Cassava Man’. There will be sampling of various products and sweet and savory treat giveaways to shoppers. Customers can also look out for notices on the ever popular ‘flash sales’.
The Anniversary day, Saturday 12th December, 2020 will commence with prayer in the Supercentre at 8:00 a.m. The day’s activities will see further sampling of products and treat giveaways. Customers who spend $45.00 and over will also have the chance to dip and win amazing prizes.
Marketing Manager of H.H.V Whitchurch & Co. Ltd., Michelle Joseph, says that “Celebrating 45 years is a momentous occasion. On behalf of the Managing Director-Mr. Gerry Aird, Directors, Management and Staff, we want to say thank you to the general public for their continuous support. Primarily, as a community-oriented Company, there is always a need to give back in any way that is possible. We invite our customers to join us in the various activities that are planned, just for them.”
