Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

Job Description

Take on a leadership role with ACE Engineering Ltd. as a Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering. Manage large-scale civil projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure timely execution while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Responsibility

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil engineering projects
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and performance
• Conduct site visits and provide technical direction for on-site activities
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Develop detailed project plans, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges as they arise
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment and satisfaction

Experience and Qualifications

Graduate Civil Engineer from a recognised institution with more than 8 years post-graduate working experience in any or a combination of the following:

• Civil Engineering design and design supervision
• Construction installation supervision and management as a member of a contractor’s team, or
• Construction Supervision and quality control as a member of a consultant or client team.
• Must be registered with the Board of Engineering, or another national Board of Engineering recognised by the Dominica Board of Engineering.

The following would be advantageous.

• Work experience in construction supervision
• Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineering for over 4 years.
• Member of the Dominica Association of Professional Engineers
• Experience or understanding of design, planning and construction management using multiple construction contract forms.
• Working knowledge and training of construction contracts and law.
• Experience in costing, construction procurement and tendering.
• Understanding and experience in business operations.
• Understanding Project Finance.
• Good organisation skills.
• MSc or MBA in Project Management, Construction Engineering and Management or similar field.
• A demonstrated aptitude for continuing training and development of self, peers and subordinates.
• Interest in pursuing internationally recognised accreditation.
